The desire to help other people is a universal one, but with today’s hectic lifestyle it can be a challenge to find the time to help. But, we like to think of Foothill Unity Center as being a place where a variety of needs are met, including the need to be needed.
Volunteers have always been the heart and soul of Foothill Unity Center and that’s because we provide so many different options for sharing your time. You’ll decide when volunteering makes sense and we’ll provide you with the training and opportunities you need to lift your spirit.
ANNUAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES (1, 2 to 4x per year)
We host three annual events that make ideal volunteer opportunities for individuals with limited time, family groups or businesses. Sign up for one, two or all four – your help is always appreciated. Tasks include: food sorting, packing boxes, distributing food, guest registration, grocery unloading and more.
• Back-to-School Clothing and School Supply Giveaway
• Letter Carrier Food Drive
• Thanksgiving Food Distribution
• Holiday Food and Gift Distribution
Calling all Volunteers!
Foothill Unity Center invites you to help us bring some holiday cheer to some of our low income families in our communities. Come join us for an afternoon of fun. Register to volunteer for our Thanksgiving and Holiday Packing and Distribution Events, see more.
MONTHLY VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES (1x month)
If you have more time to spare, consider working with us once a month. Our Monrovia and Pasadena offices distribute food to those in need on a weekly basis, your help would be greatly appreciated. We are also in need of people to help with food drives, food donation pickups, fund-raising projects, food delivery to homebound clients and more.
ONGOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES (1x or more per week)
If you’re looking for an even deeper level of volunteer commitment, daily, weekly or biweekly, we are always in need of help. Bring your time, talents and skills to one of our offices and we’ll put you to work!
The Center holds a general volunteer orientation on the first and third week of each month. If you’d like to attend one and learn more about how you can help, please call (626) 358-3486 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
