Anna and her daughter Molly were residing in the church while struggling to make ends meet. Eventually, they found their way to Foothill Unity Center where they received rehousing assistance through social services. This is what Anna had to say about her experience.
“She introduced me to Melody, and the process started right away… There was a wait but we finally got it. That was a blessing because we really needed housing badly. Living in a church where we were unable to shower and cook, so we had to buy out a lot and that wasn’t good for us health-wise. And that’s how we ended up here… It’s kind of weird because now we can shower. I don’t know how to be, you know, relaxed. I can take a shower for 15 minutes instead of three. It feels good, I was able to sleep very peacefully last night. It’s a new thing. A new beginning for us. “
