98 preregistered K-12 children of low-income and homeless families who are clients of Foothill Unity Center had serious dental needs treated at no cost during our Fourth Annual Mobile Dental Clinic on November 9-15. Care was provided by USC dental students and faculty in a circle of converted RVs at Beardslee Elementary School in Duarte. The children, identified during a dental screening at the Center’s August Back-to-School distribution, received free X-rays, cleaning, sealants, plans of treatment and appointments for services at the clinic during the week. Treatments included fillings, extractions and minor oral surgery.  The Center coordinated in collaboration with the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and the Duarte Unified School District.
